Technical Data Sheet
GLASSTEX ESSENTIAL READY MIXED WALLCOVERING ADHESIVE
Description:
Medium Grade Adhesive is a high tack, fast drying, thixotropic dry paste formulated from a blend of natural and synthetic vinyl polymers giving high final bond strengths. It contains an efficient fungicide to protect against mould growth and fire retardant for critical surface spread of flame applications. Medium is a ready mixed adhesive specially formulated for hanging Glasstex Wallcoverings and Glasstex Wall liners.
Surface Preparation:
Surfaces should be sound, dry, clean and free from damp, dust and grease. Remove old Wallcoverings and any loose or flaking paint, then wash down and allow to dry. Any cracks, holes etc should be filled and high spots sanded level. New plaster should be allowed to dry out completely. Very porous or highly alkaline surfaces require a suitable primer. Gloss painted surfaces should be keyed with sandpaper and primed with Primer Sealer.
Adhesive Application:
Essential should be applied by either brush or short nap roller or finely notched spatula.
Hanging Instructions:
It is important that the Wallcovering manufacturer's hanging instructions are followed at all times. If in doubt, seek advice.
Coverage:
Approximately 5/7 sq mtrs/kg
